What's best for a baby? Here are some of my answers.
Breastfeeding for the first year at least.

Give your baby the best birth possible. Start by taking a class that teaches The Bradley Method, which is the best childbirth class that I've ever heard of. It will teach you how to have a natural childbirth without any medications. The class presents much more information as well so you can make informed choices about the well being of your child.

Is there anything more natural than a mother holding her child and providing it with the nourishment it needs from her own body? It's free, it's always ready, it provides natural immunities, it won't spoil, it encourages optimal brain development, it decreases risk of certain cancers in both mother and child, and it fosters a nurturing relationship between mother and baby. And yes, twins can be breastfed without supplementing.
You want the best for your children so why fill the earth they'll inherit with tons of used disposable diapers that are dumped into landfills? Also, disposables contain chemicals which can be hazardous. I don't want chemicals next to my childrens' skin, especially that sensitive part of their bodies. Cloth diapers are not all that inconvenient. There are diapers with snaps as well as waterproof covers that are much easier to work with than plastic pants and pins (although I use pins and don't have a problem). If you're still not convinced think of the money you can save, especially if you have more than one child. If you only have one child you can sell the diapers when you are done. Try doing that with a disposable!
Babies love to be carried in slings. They are comfortable, versatile, easy to get baby into and out of, great for discreet nursing, and an excellent and back saving way to walk baby to sleep.

Sleeping with your baby is convenient for night nursing. It appears to help prevent SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome), it gives you peace of mind since your baby is right next to you, it helps baby to feel nurtured and loved being close to it's parents.
